The Etowah County Learning Center provides services for any child, birth to age 21,  with special needs living in the Etowah County School District. If you have a preschool child with special needs, contact the Learning Center at 256-442-1050. If you have a child ready to enter Whitesboro School that is in need of services, but has not been in a preschool program at the Learning Center,  you may call the Learning Center (256-442-1050) or Mrs. Mashburn at Whitesboro School (256-593-5406).
 
Whitesboro is currently serving students identified as gifted as well as students with Learning Disabilities, Speech and Language Disorders, Hearing Impairment, and Autism. Occupational Therapy and Assistive Technology are offered as  related services.
