Employees can earn up to four Professional Development Exchange Days. Do NOT forget to return the form with appropriate documentation (as per instructions).

2024-2025 Professional Development Exchange Days may be used on these days

• 1st-October 14, 2024
• 2nd-February 17, 2025
• 3rd-May 23, 2025
• 4th-August 1, 2024

Professional Development Exchange forms for the 2024-2025 school year must be submitted to the Central Office by or before May 31, 2024, for approval. Professional Development sessions must total 6 clock hours of learning (Lunch and breaks are not included.) to earn a Professional Development Exchange Day.

Professional Development Exchange Day Exclusions:

If you receive a stipend to attend a workshop, the activity cannot be used for a Professional Development Exchange Day. College Courses and eLearning Courses cannot be used for a Professional Development Exchange Day. To use the activity for a Professional Development Exchange Day, the activity must be completed after the school year ends and before the beginning of the next school year. Therefore, Saturday activities attended during the school year cannot be exchanged for a Professional Development Exchange Day.

Employees can earn one Professional Development Exchange Day for instructional classroom preparation. Employees must work a total of six hours preparing for the next school year in their teaching content area. The six hours of instructional classroom preparation (Two three-hour days or one six-hour day.) must be completed after the school year ends and before the beginning of the school year. The Central Office does not preapprove Instructional Class Preparation Verification forms. The school principal must verify and approve the six hours on the Instructional Classroom Preparation Verification form. Employees must also clock in to verify the six work hours. The Employee must submit the Instructional Classroom Preparation Verification form with their payroll for the month of the Professional Development Exchange Day earned.
