Southside High School is the largest high school in the Etowah County School District. SHS serves over 800 students in grades 9-12 from the Southside and Rainbow City area. Our school proudly offers a variety of educational and extracurricular opportunities for our students.

The mission of Southside High School is to make certain that each student realizes his or her unique potential. We strive to provide progressive instruction and a broad curriculum to ensure that all students meet state standards and are prepared for future challenges.
