Welcome to Mrs. Couch's classroom website! From the moment I walked through the front doors to enroll my son in 5K, I knew I wanted to teach at John Jones Elementary School. Now, 20 years later, I still feel the same and realize how blessed I am to have my dream come true! My classroom theme, COWBOYS, is an inspiration from my son, Lance, who loves rodeos (especially bull riding). Students have the opportunity to become the "Cowpoke of the Week" and "Cow-a-bunga Math Dudes". Our classroom motto, The Cowboy Way: Work Hard and Be Kind, challenges students to do their personal best and to treat others respectfully. I have a wonderful family. My husband, Gary, is a locomotive engineer. Yes, he really drives the train! Our son, Lance, is a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Building Science. His occupation takes him all over the U.S. Our dog, Razor, is an Australian cowdog (blue heeler). His friendly personality and love for playing fetch has made him famous in our neighborhood. I enjoy going to church where I sing in the choir, serve in children's Sunday School, and teach Vacation Bible School.
