Family and Consumer Science Family Life Program

Family Dynamics-This course serves as a foundation course in FACS. This one-credit course is designed to assist students in recognizing the roles, responsibilities, and importance of family life skills. Course content includes food, clothing, housing, financial, and consumer needs throughout the lifespan. Course content is taught in compliance with the AL Course of Study.

Food Dynamics- is a specialty course that combines 1/2 credit Food and Fitness with 1/2 credit Creative Foods. The one-credit  course content includes preparing meals creatively, technology in the Fashion Industry.

Human Dynamics- This course is a combination of 1/2 credit Fashion Decisions and 1/2 credit Fashion Design. The course offers students the opportunityto explore past and present apparel and accesory design, related career fields, and use of technology in the fashion industry.

Fashion Dynamics- The course offers students the opportunity to explore past and present apparel and accessory design, related career fields, and use of technology in the Fashion Industry.

Housing dynamics- this one credit course combines 1/2  credit Housing Decisions with 1/2 credit Interior Design. Students are introduced to the historical aspects and contemporary trends related to housing and interior design.

Family and Financial Wellness- This course is for students who are intrested in health and financial concerns that relate to individuals and families of today. This one-credit course is a combination of 1/2 credit Family Wellness and 1/2 credit Money Dynamics..
