Thank you for your interest in becoming a substitute for the
Etowah County Board of Education.   
   
    Our system has three categories of substitutes:
  • Certified Teacher Substitute--one who holds a valid Alabama Teacher Certificate.  A certified teacher substitute can substitute for a certified teacher or classified (support) personnel.
  • Teacher Substitute--one who holds a valid Alabama Substitute Teacher's License.  A teacher substitute can substitute for a certified teacher or classified (support)  personnel.
  • Classified (Support) Substitute--a classified (support) substitute can substitute for any classified (support)  personnel which includes aides, special education paraprofessionals, lunchroom (CNP), custodian, and bus driver.
