John S. Jones Elementary School is in the Etowah County School System. It is located in Rainbow City, Alabama. We are an Alabama Reading Initiative School and we received the National Blue Ribbon School Award in 2001. Our school grade levels are kindergarten through fifth grade. We have 81 members on our faculty and staff with about 715 students. There are 5 special education teachers, 7 kindergarten, 7 first grade, 6 second grade, 7 third grade, 5 fourth grade, and 5 fifth grade teachers.
