I have been at Highland School for 20 years and I really love it. I have many projects that I am running. Most of you know about my school life. I have a B.S.
degree with a major in English and a minor in history and two Masters in Library Science and School Administration from Jacksonville State University. I am now going back to college to get my Ed.S. in School Leadership.I also have twelve graduate hours in writing from The Institute of Children's Literature. I have nine hours in technology from Intel and Teachers Discovering Computers. I have been Teacher of the Year at Highland School and have received the L.A.M.P. award for significant contribution to Alabama Libraries. Here is some personal information about me. I love to write! As soon as I was able to hold a pencil, I was scribbling. Many of my father's books bear my mark. I am currently trying to get some of my stories published. I also am fascinated with computers. You will constantly see me working with one and trying to get others to work with them. They don't bite. I like to paint ceramics. I haven't much time for this lately, but I am starting back soon. I love to grow flowers. The new Media Center will soon look like a jungle. I have two boys (one working in Talladega in technology and one from Auburn and is
working at a radio station doing sports talk shows), a husband who is a police officer, and one
daughter-in-law, and the lights of our lives, a granddaughter and a grandson.
