Welcome to the Glencoe Marching Band Program.  As a member, you are part of one of the most outstanding organizations in our school.  The marching band has a reputation of excellence in North Alabama and throughout the state.  The Glencoe Marching Band has also performed in many venues throughout the United States receiving honors for outstanding performance.  The honors reflect the excellence of the program in which you are now involved.  The attainment of these and many other honors have come as a direct result of the dedication and former leaders and members.  As a current member of the Glencoe Marching Band you are heir to a rich tradition of musical and personal integrity.  It is your responsibility to enhance that tradition and pass it on to future members.  I wish you a time filled with incredible experiences that will last a lifetime.

Our Mission

The mission of the Glencoe Band Program is to develop in each student an appreciation of the art of music as a part of general culture; to teach techniques of musical expression; to discover and develop the talents of students in all styles of music; to develop knowledge and skills in listening to all styles of music and in reading and performing all styles of music.  We also wish to teach and strengthen those personal attributes with are important to being successful in life such as hard work, dedication, team work, responsibility, and self-discipline.
